‘Optics4birding.com’ is a retailer whose main focus is obvious from its name. If you are into birding, it is a good place to visit. It is a small, attractive, nicely laid out site. From the browse by brand box, you can choose the type of equipment you are looking for and a manufacturer. This takes you to a list of all the relevant products in that brand. Except that Bushnell digital binoculars were featured as a hot item on the homepage, but then didn’t show up in the Bushnell binocular listing. They only seem to stock the one model and I would compare prices before buying there.

This is an annoying experience that doesn’t match the quality of the products. I have adsl but I had to wait about 15 seconds for an animation to load, with no way to stop it. Then all it allowed me to do was choose my region and language. Then I had to choose the general or the hunting catalogue. I chose general. This is a 16MB, slow loading pdf of their entire product range, for 2007! Not very useful if you have a specific interest. You are better off getting your information from the retailers.
